By now you would’ve read our previous story regarding Perodua’s official announcement for its latest Axia model, which will eventually replace the Viva model. Today, before bookings properly open at Perodua showrooms nationwide, a leaked image showing the full range of estimated prices for the all-new 2014 Perodua Axia has been leaked online.
To recap, the 1.0-litre Perodua Axia will be offered in four variants – the Standard E, Standard G, Special Edition and Advance. So far, Perodua have only confirmed the Axia’s starting price, which is at RM24,900. Having contacted several dealerships, we also understand that the estimated prices will not differ by more than RM100 from the confirmed prices will be announced at launch.
Also from this image, it looks certain that every variant will share a common engine, and that’s the Daihatsu-derived 999cc three-cylinder aluminium mill, which makes 65PS and 88Nm of torque.
And as predicted in our earlier post, the four-speed auto and five-speed manual transmission options are available.
