Apr 16, 2014

Petaling Jaya: Yesterday, Pembinaan Jemerlang Sdn Bhd was awarded the project to construct a flyover that directly links Tropicana Metropark to the Federal Highway, which is slated for completion in 2016. The event, which was held at Tropicana Metropark, also included the unveiling of the new, uniquely themed Paloma Serviced Residences show units.

YBhg Dato’ Asmawi bin Kasbi, Yang Dipertua, Majlis Perbandaran Subang Jaya witnessed the signing ceremony between Dato‘ Yau Kok Seng, Group CEO of Tropicana Corporation Berhad (“Tropicana” or “Group”) and Ong Chin Wooi, Project Director of Pembinaan Jemerlang Sdn Bhd. Dato’ Dickson Tan, Deputy Group CEO of Tropicana, Edmund Kong, Group Managing Director of Tropicana, Pam Loh, Executive Director, Marketing & Sales of Tropicana and Daniel Teh, Executive Director, Project of Tropicana were also on hand to witness proceedings.

“The flyover that will connect Tropicana Metropark to the Federal Highway was conceived as part of our integrated development master plan right from the start. After all, accessibility and connectivity is part of our Group’s development DNA. Once the construction is completed, the flyover will not only benefit the residents of Tropicana Metropark but also the areas of USJ and Subang Jaya as well,” said Dato‘ Yau.

Construction of the RM106 million flyover will begin in the second quarter of 2014 and is expected to be completed in 2016. It will provide even greater connectivity and ease for both Tropicana Metropark and its neighbouring areas.

In addition to the signing ceremony, Tropicana also unveiled three distinct Paloma Serviced Residences (“Paloma”) show units, each with its own unique theme. During the event, YBhg Dato’ Asmawi was given a personal tour of these show units. The distinctly themed Paloma show units were creatively designed to inspire visitors with ideas through the brilliant use of space, colour, lighting, textures and embellishments. All three show units come in varying sizes and layouts, and are exquisitely designed and individually themed to personify the vibrant character of its pseudo owners: a master chef, a family of globetrotters and a photojournalist-fashion editor duo.
