The airline further added that, “The capacity injected was well absorbed with strong demand returned across all regions in the passenger load factor (PLF) improving by seven percentage points (ppts) to 75% against 68% in the same period last year.”
Strong demand across the region boosted PLF for Thai AirAsia X, and Indonesian AirAsia X, translating to an improvement of 17 and 26 ppts, respectively. On the other hand, Malaysian AirAsia X also increased frequencies on popular routes to meet growing demands in the quarter.
AirAsia X was also quoted as saying “We will continue to strengthen our core markets, especially China, which recorded a jump of 18% in Chinese arrivals into Malaysia from 12 months ago.
