WEBE Marketing Chief Speaks About ‘Data Liberation’

The newest mobile operator or in this case re-emerged P1, Webe is making a statement in the industry with what it says it wants to do…’Data Liberation’. The offering? Simple, just one plan for all! During the official launch in Subang Jaya recently, the TM owned carrier, proclaimed to liberate the way consumers use data and the way they subscribe to mobile plans which are being offered by other operators.
Currently, data plans are spread across various levels based on consumption, price, allocation, time and comes in different packages. Postpaid and prepaid have differing offering all by themselves, explaining to a new user could something be like deciphering a Rocket Science manual and many existing users are still figuring out how the charges come about! Webe wants to change this confusing model with just one simple plan for all. But consumers are skeptic, the questions we often received from our readers was “whats the catch?”
webePhoto 3PC.com asked Chief Marketing Officer, Shu Wei on his grand vision for Webe and the one plan model concept. While he accepted on the skepticism, due to how users have been for decades confined to how telco’s have been dishing out plans and also the deficit trust level consumers have on operators, he assured Webe is here for the long play and committed on the ‘One Plan’ unlimited data 24/7, 365 model. Being a digital company, he believes users will eventually understand Webe and realise what the offering is all about. At the moment the service is by invitation to existing TM and P1 customers based on the postcode with public roll-out coming soon.
